First and foremost, it is important to us that ALL patients see God's love demonstrated in the physical care that they receive, irrespective of their participation in prayer or bible teaching.
Providing Emotional & Spiritual Support
The Mossy Foot Project strives to care for the social and spiritual needs of Mossy Foot patients as well as tending to their physical needs. To this end, each clinic site is staffed with a social agent who provides social, emotional and spiritual support in addition to a health care agent who addresses the clinical needs of each individual. A trained pastor oversees and counsels our social agents just as our healthcare program is administered by a trained professional.
All who desire to participate will hear bible teaching and will be offered a message of hope through Jesus Christ. It is our desire that many would come to recognize God's love for them and discover His gift of life and hope in Christ when the harsh realities of poverty and the debilitating effects of podoconiosis threaten to deprive them of both.
